Jiangsu Ocean University (JOU) โรงเรียนตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่นำร่องหลักของ "โครงการthe Belt and Road Initiative" ซึ่งเป็นสะพานเชื่อมด้านตะวันออกของสะพานคอนติเนนตัลยูเรเซีย และเหลียนหยุนกัง เมืองชายฝั่งทะเลเปิดแห่งแรกในจีน มหาวิทยาลัยมีวิทยาลัย 20 แห่ง ซึ่งเปิดสอนหลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี 69 หลักสูตร ครอบคลุม 10 สาขาวิชา เช่น วิศวกรรมศาสตร์ วิทยาศาสตร์ การจัดการ วรรณกรรม เกษตรศาสตร์ กฎหมาย เศรษฐศาสตร์ ศิลปะ การศึกษา และการแพทย์
